The AZ42P1 is an AZ series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2022 and was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The AZ42P1 features an American Basswood body bolted to an S-Tech roasted maple oval C shaped neck with a compound radius rosewood fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, mother of pearl dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include a pair of Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers pickups at the bridge and the neck positions, a T1502 tremolo bridge, a Graph Tech® nut, an angled output jack and Gotoh® MG-T locking tuning machines.
