The Jackson® MJ Series, created in honor of the brand’s legacy of Japan-only manufacturing, is a line of innovative instruments blending meticulous Japanese craftsmanship with cutting-edge features. The MJ Series DKR Burl Mahogany in Dark Mocha Brown features a striking burl mahogany top on an ergonomically designed basswood body, complete with a shredder’s cut heel for effortless access to higher frets. The 5-piece maple/walnut/maple neck is reinforced with graphite for enhanced stability against climate changes, bolt-on for classic feel, and finished with a smooth oil treatment for superior playability.
Its 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard includes rolled edges, 24 jumbo frets, and pearloid sharkfin inlays for fluid movement from low-position chords to high-end solos. Luminlay® side dots improve visibility on dark stages, and a truss rod wheel at the neck heel allows for quick adjustments. Powered by a Seymour Duncan® JB™ TB-4 bridge pickup and Jazz SH-2N neck pickup, it delivers bold, genre-spanning tones via a 5-way blade switch and single volume/tone controls. Premium hardware includes a Gotoh® GE1996T double-locking tremolo, Gotoh tuners, and Dunlop® dual-locking strap buttons for rock-solid performance.
