Zooropa, the band’s eighth studio album, was produced by Flood, Brian Eno, and The Edge, and originally released on 5 July 1993 via Island Records. Inspired by experiences on the Zoo TV Tour, the album expands on themes of technology and media oversaturation while continuing the group’s experimentation with alternative rock, electronic dance music, and electronic effects that began with Achtung Baby (1991).
